January is typically a time when people are wanting to turn over a new leaf…get active, exercise more, etc. January in Minnesota is also typically a time when the weather outside sure is frightful. Did you know the Minnesota Zoo is the largest continuous indoor zoo in the country? The lush, warm Tropics Trail is the perfect setting to walk around and get those steps in. Who wouldn’t want to have views of an underwater tropical reef or swinging gibbons while getting a walk in. Perhaps strolling with our sharks and Hawaiian monk seals in Discovery Bay is more your style. The best part is, no matter what the weather is doing outside, you will always have an expansive, balmy 75 degree environment at the Minnesota Zoo! Be sure to check out our many education programs that get our guests of all ages moving and grooving, such as our new yoga classes, monthly trail tours and toddler times!
