Adults Only – Animals After Dark Overnight
It’s finally here! Adults, this is your chance to live out your childhood dream of spending the night in a zoo.

We’ll spend the night learning about animals and having fun through games, crafts, and behind-the-scenes tours, before you spend the night sleeping in front of our sharks, monk seals, or seahorses in Discovery Bay! In the morning you’ll get more special programming and the chance to talk to a zookeeper. The Zoo will provide dinner with drinks, breakfast, and a special T-shirt for each participant. A full day’s admission at the Zoo is included, so come early on Friday or stay late on Saturday!

Backstage Pass
Ever want to feed a kangaroo? Or maybe even stingray? Have you wanted to get to know our three bears, Sadie, Kenai, and Haines, better and help them with their enrichment? Well now you can! Sign up now for Backstage with Sharks Rays and get a chance to see our three new zebra shark pups. Don’t miss this unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Monthly Guided Trail Tours
How do you train a komodo dragon? What do we think about when we decide to combine species in a habitat? What’s the grizzly bears’ favorite treat? These hour-long walking tours are full of fun facts, animal anecdotes, and insider information on topics such as exhibit design, animal behavior, animal health and training, zoo careers, and conservation. You’ll learn the answers to the questions you always wondered about and get to know our animals on a deeper level. Your tour will also include a peek behind-the-scenes, where you’ll travel with your naturalist to a non-public area of the Zoo to learn more about how the Zoo works.

Become a Volunteer
Share your passion for animals with our guests as Minnesota Zoo volunteer. Help connect our guests to the fascinating world of our four-legged (and two-legged) friends. Work on special events, share interesting artifacts and answer questions. We’ll provide the training you’ll need in order to be successful. Learn more and sign up today.

Adult Night Out at the Zoo
Explore a grown-up, kid-free version of the Minnesota Zoo after hours during these year-round events. Grab a cocktail and enjoy an evening stroll through the Zoo. Try out your animal knowledge at our Animal Pub Trivia and get an up close and personal animal experience at Close Encounters. This summer, make sure to grab dinner at our Walkabout Grill and get a taste of the outback with Australian themed food, and Foster’s beer.
