Speaker Series – Saving Sea Turtles: Lessons from 30 Years of Conservation in Antigua in the Caribbean
Take a break from the blustery Minnesota winter and escape to a warm, Caribbean beach as Seth Stapleton, biologist at the Minnesota Zoo, shares stories of sea turtle conservation work in the West Indies. Learn more about what you can do to help save sea turtles from right here in Minnesota!
Warm Up in the Wild – February 18
Need a winter escape? Join us for the 6th annual Warm Up in the Wild party. This adults-only tropical event features a unique experience with zookeepers exploring the exotic and intimate rituals of the furry, feathered and scaly residents of the Tropics Trail.
Tropical Beach Party February 18 – March 12
It’s all about the sand! Bring the whole family to a winter get away at the Zoo. We’ll supply the sand, palm trees, exotic animals and more. New this year will be the addition of a second sandbox in Discovery Bay! BYOP (Bring your own pail) or favorite sandbox toy!
Farm Babies March 24-April 30
Gather up your little chicks and celebrate the sights and sounds of spring at the Wells Fargo Family Farm! You’ll coo at adorable piglets, lambs, goat kids, bunnies, chicks and calves. All the cute happens daily, with special family activities each weekend.
Macy’s Mother’s Day May 14
Bring your special mom to meet some of our special mothers during our Macy’s Mother’s Day Weekend celebration. Moms receive free admission on Sunday.
