Wings Financial World of Birds Show
Soaring hawks, talking parrots, majestic owls, and many more rare and beautiful feathered creatures delight and amaze Zoo guests.

Hawaiian Monk Seal Demonstrations – 12, 2, and 4pm daily
Experience the sights and sounds of the Hawaiian islands during our Hawaiian Monk Seal Demonstrations – daily at 12:00, 2:00 & 4:00 p.m. Come and connect with these critically endangered marine mammals and their trainers in their new habitat in Discovery Bay, the only place to see these amazing animals outside of Hawaii. Learn more about Hawaiian monk seals, the challenges they face in the wild, and what the Minnesota Zoo and others are doing to help save them.

Conservation Carousel
Round and round, up and down! The Minnesota Zoo’s hand-crafted Conservation Carousel is located along the Northern Trail. $2 token per ride for guests 42 inches and taller, carousel tokens are purchased at the self-service kiosk near the carousel.

Camel Rides – May 23 to September 7
Hours are 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, weather permitting. Cost is $6 non-members, $5 for members. Photos are $6.

Tropical Reef Dive Show
Our spectacular floor-to-ceiling underwater viewing allows you to watch aquarium staff SCUBA dive with the sharks and tropical fish of the Coral Reef. Dive shows are daily at 10:30 a.m. (limited capacity)

Close Encounters
This program provides unique, engaging on-site animal experiences to zoo guests.

Backstage Pass
Each Backstage Pass is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience designed to foster positive, lifelong connections to the natural world.

Cow Milking Demonstration (seasonal)
The dairy barn at the Well’s Fargo Family Farm features daily cow milking demonstrations at 11, 1, and 3, April through November. (limited capacity) Watch video.

Shark Feedings
Watch the savage beauty of our sharks and other marine life during their scheduled feedings. Discovery Bay shark feedings are at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

Penguin Feedings
Come watch our Penguins get fed at 10am and 2:30pm

Seasonal Attractions

Wells Fargo Family Farm (April 1-November 30)
Experience a working farm and learn how food gets from farms to tables. This popular exhibit offers families a chance to see and touch domestic animals like cows, goats, pigs, and more.

Farm Trams will be running – Saturday & Sunday in May  from 11:30-1:30

Splash Pad (summer)
Cool off under life-sized animal sculptures in our interactive water fountain on the Central Plaza.

Woodland Adventure
An interactive, nature-based play area located off the Zoo’s Central Plaza.

Hanifl Family Wild Woods
The Hanifl Family Wild Woods is Minnesota Zoo’s new, immersive nature-play experience that encourages kids to explore and connect with nature. Kids can climb on, crawl through, dig in and discover nature in a “please touch” environment that is free with admission.

Attention wildlife shutterbugs! The Minnesota Zoo is excited to announce the 6th annual Photo Contest, sponsored by National Camera Exchange.

Aveda Butterfly Garden – June 20 – September 7
Enjoy the spectacular sight of hundreds of North American butterflies at the end of the Tropics Trail.

St. Paul Farmers’ Market at the Minnesota Zoo – July 8 – August 26
The Minnesota Zoo is excited to welcome the summer season with our annual weekly Farmers’ Market, located in our Gibbon parking lot! No admission required.

Brew at the Zoo – August 7
Raise your glass to conservation and join us for the sixth annual suds sipping’ safari “Brew at the Zoo”.  There’s nothing better than cold, frothy beer on a warm summer evening.

Tiger Tracks – August 22
Lace-up your shoes and make tracks to the Minnesota Zoo. This wild run will start at the Shady Oaks Picnic Area and weave into the Zoo and out around the Northern Trail.

William David Romans Golf Classic – August 31
Please join us in celebrating the life of William by participating in the 6th Annual William David Romans Golf Classic on Monday, August 31 at 11:15 a.m. at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club in Lakeville.
