The Minnesota Zoo is proud to recognize the efforts of schools, community groups, and businesses that have organized cell phone donations for the Recycle for Rainforests program! 2016 Donations
After participating in an overnight at the Zoo last spring, these fifth grade Girl Scouts (troop 55409) from Island Lake Elementary School decided to act for conservation! They collected over 400 cell phones to donate to our Recycle for Rainforests program. Thank you for your hard work!
Congratulations to Mrs. Jordan Nelson and Mabel-Canton High School (below) and Mrs. Denise DuBois and Oak Grove Elementary School who were the winners of our September 2015 through January 2016 Recycle for Rainforest challenge! During the challenge, a total of 630 cell phones were donated from all participating groups.

Mrs. Hoernemann’s 10th grade Honors Biology classes at White Bear Lake-North Campus collected a huge box of cell phones to help raise money for conservation efforts in Africa through the Zoo’s Recycle for Rainforest program. Thanks to everyone in Honors Biology!
