2018-19 Zoo Explorers Fund
This program includes subsidized bus transportation, Zoo admission, time to see the animal areas and an education program (Zoo Class or Minnesota Natural Heritage Tour) for qualified school groups, grades 2-12, with field trip taking place before March 29, 2019.  In order to receive this grant, your school must have greater than 55% federal free and reduced lunch designation.  Public elementary schools from the districts covered in the Zoo Safari Program (below) are not eligible for this grant.

2018-19 Zoo School Bus Fund – The Bus Fund subsidizes all or part of the cost of your field trip transportation through the Zoo School Bus Fund, up to $600 maximum. To qualify schools need to have at least 45% of the student body enrolled in the federal free and reduced lunch program and planning a Zoo trip before April 26, 2019.
Funds for this grant are no longer available. Please check back as additional funds may become available throughout the school year.

2018-19 Flint Hills Overnight Fund
Schools outside of the seven-county metro area are invited to apply for this great funding opportunity. The Flint Hills Overnight Grant covers overnight program fees, busing, meals, and an IMAX film. For more information please email us at [email protected].

2018-19 Zoo Safari Grant Program
This long-standing grant program has funded tens of thousands of student visits to the Minnesota Zoo and includes transportation, lunch, admission, and a Zoo Class for an entire grade level for an entire district.  The following public school districts are included in the 2018-2019 Zoo Safari program and have been notified: Brooklyn Center, Colby, Columbia Heights, Eagan-Apple Valley-Rosemount, Fridley, Melrose, Minneapolis, Pine Island, St Anthony, St Paul. For more information please email us at [email protected].
