Little Learners

Calling all little explorers (ages 2-5) and their favorite grown-up. Join us for these amazing programs!

Introducing a brand new class for our youngest visitors! Little Learners is a program designed for children ages 2-5 to explore Zoo topics with their parent/guardian. These 60-minute classes include time to explore in our classroom, have guided group activities, and includes an art project.

Time: 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Ages: 2-5 with an adult
Fee:
• Members: $20 (includes 1 child participant and 1 adult)
• Non-members: $30 (includes 1 child participant and 1 adult)
• Max of 2 children per adult and max of 2 adults per child.
• Child must be a minimum of 24 months at time of the program.
• Zoo admission not included. If you want to visit the Zoo after a class, you must purchase a separate Zoo admission ticket online.

Dr. Zoolittle:
Step into the world of animal healthcare at the Zoo! Young explorers will learn how veterinarians care for animals through stories, hands-on experience with veterinary tools, and pretend checkups. Children are encouraged to practice their skills on a stuffed animal they bring from home!

Critter Care:
What does a zookeeper do all day? Grab your boots and get ready to practice jobs like preparing diets, making enrichment, and keeping the animals’ habitats clean and safe.

What's Buzzing?:
Welcome to the world of bugs and pollinators! Learn more about some of our smallest animal friends, and the important jobs they have in nature. Young learners will buzz, fly, and crawl though hands-on activities and create an art project to take home.

Wild Families:
Who’s in your family? Learn how animal families care for, communicate with, and learn from one another. Wiggle, play, and explore to learn the special ways animal families grow and help each other!
