Introducing a brand new class for our youngest visitors! Little Learners is a program designed for children ages 2-5 to explore Zoo topics with their parent/guardian. These 60-minute classes include time to explore in our classroom, have guided group activities, and includes an art project.

Time: 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Ages: 2-5 with an adult
Fee:
• Members: $20 (includes 1 child participant and 1 adult)
• Non-members: $30 (includes 1 child participant and 1 adult)
• Max of 2 children per adult and max of 2 adults per child.
• Child must be a minimum of 24 months at time of the program.
Zoo admission not included. If you want to visit the Zoo after a class, you must purchase a separate Zoo admission ticket online.

Primate Party:
Swing and jump as we explore the playful world of monkeys and apes. This wild adventure is full of movement, art, and animal-inspired activities.
Date: November 22, January 10, April 4

Art, Naturally:
Nature is all around us! Create art using natural materials gathered from around the Zoo while we learn about how the seasons affect nature.
Date: October 11, December 13, February 21

Dr. Zoolittle:
What do animals need to be healthy? Explore with us as we investigate how to take care of animals through diet, watching behavior, and check-ups with a veterinarian. Children are welcome to bring a stuffed animal that may need a check-up as well!

Backyard Buddies:
Hop like a hare, scamper like a squirrel, and howl like a wolf as we discover wild animals from right here in Minnesota! Through stories, art, and play, learn how local wildlife eat, move, and make their homes.
Dates: October 25, December 6, February 14

Food From the Farm:
Where does our food come from? Whether it’s fruits, vegetables, wheat, or meat…farms provide us with a variety of foods. Learn about the animals, plants, and trees that call our farm home.
Dates: March 14, April 18
