Online tickets are an efficient method of accessing tickets and provide a smooth entry experience because:

- Lines are shorter and move faster when compared to waiting in lines to purchase tickets.

- You have access to early closing and other schedule changes when you visit our website to purchase tickets and we can send communications if needed about hour changes based on the time of your visit.

- Online tickets make member hour possible. Member exclusive hour is 9am-10am

- The zoo can plan staffing levels based on known sales and can reallocate staff that caters to your needs.

- It doesn’t take spontaneity out of your visit. You can purchase tickets online as soon as you arrive. They will be in your inbox by the time you reach the entrance. There is no capacity restriction to online tickets.

- You can arrive 30 minutes prior or any time after your selected time, same day. You are not tied to your arrival time.

- Don’t want to purchase online, give us a call at 952-431-9200 and we can assist you over the phone.

- There is no general zoo admission capacity concern. We have plenty of zoo entry tickets available.

Memberships are nontransferable and nonrefundable.

You are welcome to visit the Zoo with your e-ticket or confirmation email. The Zoo reserves the right to check a photo ID in absence of a physical or digital membership card.

Yes, you may upgrade your membership to a higher category at any time by calling 952.431.9200 or by visiting the Guest Services Desk upon your next visit.  The membership expiration date will remain the same and a fee will be charged for the difference in price.

Children that are included on Household and Household Plus memberships are welcome to visit without the named cardholder(s) along with their e-ticket. Any additional guests not covered by your membership would receive discounted admission.

Friends of the Minnesota Zoo is a giving society for those who donate $300 or more to the Minnesota Zoo Foundation. Friends of the Minnesota Zoo receive all the benefits of membership, additional Friends benefits, PLUS two free guests each visit.   More Information

Parking is free for members during regular Zoo hours. If arriving in separate vehicles, your non-member guests are required to pay for parking.

Member only events cover those listed under your membership level.

Your member card will be mailed within 2-3 weeks of purchase date. You can access your digital membership card right away by downloading the Minnesota Zoo app.

In efforts to align with the Zoo’s mission of being a conservation leader, households will receive one recyclable membership card. You can request an additional or replacement card for an $8 fee.

Yes. Your payment, less the fair market value of the benefits you receive, is deductible for income tax purposes. Under Internal Revenue Service guidelines, the estimated value of standard-level membership benefits is not substantial; therefore the full amount of your payment is a deductible contribution.
