Online tickets are required in advance for all guests visiting the Minnesota Zoo. Plan a Visit Today! Saturdays thru Mondays from 9am-10am are reserved for members only. Tuesdays-Fridays will be reserved for members and groups.

Daytime Experiences

Wings and Things!
Join us at 10:30 am and 2:00 pm in the Target Learning Center for our new animal show, Wings & Things! See owls, porcupines, and more strut their stuff while learning fascinating facts about our natural world. This educational and entertaining show is fun for all ages and included with your Zoo admission. The show's run-time is roughly twenty minutes and seating is first-come, first-served. For those with sensory sensitivities, please note, music is played before the program and microphones are used throughout.

Member Engagement Programming

Freshwater Turtles Seminar: Saturday, June 15, 2024
10:30 am—12:00 pm

Minnesota is home to nine species of freshwater turtles. Unfortunately, freshwater turtles today face a variety of threats that are putting their future in Minnesota at risk. Learn more about our turtles, our head start program, and your vital role in protecting turtles this season. This class takes place in the Ocean classrooms, tickets required.

Treetop Trail
Come get a fresh perspective on nature and let it change and inspire the way you experience the world, and your place within it. The 1.25-mile walking path brings guests up to 32 feet above the ground and provides a year-round and accessible journey into nature for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Summer hours begin on May 25, 2024 from 9 a.m.—5:30 p.m. (Weather permitting). More Information.

Flightlines: Exploring Birds Through Art
Now through September 2, 2024, stop in at the Hanifl Nature Center to view our rotating art exhibition. The newest exhibition features more than 60 works of art from dozens of Minnesota artists celebrating the beauty of birds, feathers, bird nests, and bird flight.

Llama Trek
May 25, 2024 – September 2, 2024. Let’s take a trip to the Andes—without leaving the Zoo! Llama Trek on the Northern Trail opens on May 25. With minimal separation from the animals, you can observe llamas lunching, munching, grooming, and snoozing. Meet another Andean animal, Guinea pigs, and learn how your support for the Zoo is saving wild chinchillas from extinction in Chile. For additional fees, you can also feed a llama, walk a llama along a path, and take a camel ride. The path through Llama Trek is accessible to wheelchairs and mobility assists.

Summer is on the horizon and we're ready to show that conservation rocks! Enjoy an adults-only night out filled with live local music, artisans, food, drink, and access to your favorite Minnesota Zoo trails and habitats.
