Backstage Pass: Sharks & Stingrays

Don’t swim past an opportunity to dive deep into the world of some of the coolest fish around: sharks and stingrays!

Join an aquarist for a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes and poolside to learn about their daily routine caring for sand tiger sharks and their cousins the southern stingrays. You’ll also see how the Zoo cares for its large number of other colorful fish and mesmerizing aquatic animals.

Hand feed one of the largest rays in the world, a 5-foot southern stingray, as well as many of our other fish. You may also get to help train and feed one of our Leopard sharks.

These experiences are just too amazing to miss! This experience wouldn’t be complete without a special gift from one of our own sharks!
