Backstage Pass: Minne-Critters

Are you captivated by critters that are slight of size? Minnesota’s magnificent mini-critters are ready for the spotlight.

Go behind the scenes on the Treetop Trail where you’ll get up-close with some of Minnesota’s smaller residents. The cast of critters may include a skunk, porcupine, snake, owl, hawk, and opossum. Which one will steal your heart? Our hope is all of them! Learn how Zoo staff trains the animals and why the Land of 10,000 Lakes needs everyone to do their part. You may even get to help with feeding time, engage with enrichment, or see some training. Whatever the opportunity, pictures and questions are always welcome.

Special Notes:
• The Minnesota Zoo prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of all the animals in our care. Each animal is given the choice to participate in these experiences, and it is always up to them to decide if and how much they want to participate. We may also need to cancel a program due to animal health concerns. If we need to cancel, you will be invited to attend another experience or receive a refund of your registration.
• For the wellbeing of the guests, guests must follow the directions of the animal care staff.
• The Zoo is not a nut-free environment as nuts are a regular part of our animal diets and may be used during animal demonstrations and programs as positive reinforcement.
