Join a naturalist-guided interactive walking tour to share information and stories about Zoo animals and conservation efforts…and perhaps a peek behind-the-scenes. Each tour highlights a different Zoo trail and a unique theme, with time for questions throughout the tour and chances to share your own animal knowledge and stories.

What’s red and white and adorable all over? The Zoo’s new red pandas! Walk the Northern Trail with a naturalist and chat about the animals and some of the changes on the trail over the years.

From burying seeds to fattening up, fall is the perfect time to observe Minnesota animals getting ready for winter. Compare winter strategies of Minnesota Trail animals then check out the Minnesota/Tropics kitchen to learn how their caretakers help them prepare.

Why don’t the sharks eat the fish in Shark Reef? How do Zookeepers track what the penguins eat? Discover the answer to these questions and more while exploring Discovery Bay and 3M Penguins of the African Coast with a food focus, including a peek into how these animals are fed.
