Adult Zoo Camps

Zoo fun isn’t just for kids. Zoo camps are designed to encourage natural wonder and discovery in all participants, including adults! Enjoy an elevated camp experience with in-depth conversations, hands-on exploration and activities, insider animal stories, animal encounters, peeks behind-the-scenes, community science, and more.

Adult Zoo Camp - Bluebirds

Explore the lives of bluebirds while investigating how they get their blue hue, what their nests look like, and other birds commonly found in bluebird habitat. Walk the Zoo’s outdoor bluebird trail, practice identifying some of Minnesota’s cavity nesters, and compare these wild birds to Zoo birds who prefer the tropics. Learn what the Zoo is doing to help birds and how you can help through community science and more.

Program components take place both indoors and outside; please dress to be comfortable.

Accessibility note: the bluebird trail walk can be up to 1.5 miles long, including some small to moderate hills.
