Backstage Pass: Llamas

You’ve herd the puns, seen the swag, and know the spitting rumors around these quirky creatures. Now meet the real deal!

Llamas are back and we’re going to show you how llama-zing they are with this Backstage Pass.

Help our animal care staff open the Llama Trek habitat for the day and find out what it takes to get our herd of llamas ready for the day. Meet the llamas behind the scenes then spend the day helping walk, feed, and taking silly selfies with this charismatic crew.

Ages: All ages welcome; 2 and under are free; participants younger than 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult

Special Notes:
• This experience involves walking down a hill over uneven, natural terrain. Please see below if an accommodation request is needed.
• The Minnesota Zoo prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of all the animals in our care. Each animal is given the choice to participate in these experiences, and it is always up to them to decide if and how much they want to participate. We may also need to cancel a program due to animal health concerns. If a cancelation is necessary, you will be invited to attend another experience or receive a refund of your registration.
• For the wellbeing of the guests, guests must follow the directions of the animal care staff.
• The Zoo is not a nut-free environment as nuts are a regular part of our animal diets and may be used during animal demonstrations and programs as positive reinforcement.
