Join us for an array of special Zoo events that are sure to make any season a wild one.

Summer is on the horizon and we're ready to show that conservation rocks! Enjoy an adults-only night out filled with live local music, artisans, food, drink, and access to your favorite Minnesota Zoo trails and habitats. Wild Nights will take place on the following Fridays: June 14 & 28, July 12 & 26, and August 9. More Information Here.

Family Story Walk

Explore the Zoo while enjoying two of the greatest pastimes of all time—walking and reading! July 20 & 21 - FREE! More Information Here.

Specialty Walks

Come try one of the new Specialty Walks on the Treetop Trail. Seeking silence? Prefer a lively lecture? Want to bask in the rays of the rising sun or the cool light of the full moon? Need a date night with nature? More Information Here.

Llama Trek

Let’s take a trip to the Andes—without leaving the Zoo! Llama Trek on the Northern Trail opens on May 25. With minimal separation from the animals, you can observe llamas lunching, munching, grooming, and snoozing. Meet another Andean animal, Guinea pigs, and learn how your support for the Zoo is saving wild chinchillas from extinction in Chile. Llama Trek is included with your Zoo admission. For additional fees, you can also feed a llama, walk a llama along a path, and take a camel ride. The path through Llama Trek is accessible to wheelchairs and mobility assists.

Beastly Bash Weekend - September 20 & 21

The Zoo is metamorphosing into something even more amazing! Experience the Zoo like never before at this extraordinary two-day event benefiting an extraordinary cause. Whether you attend The Gala, our benefit event under the stars, or The Gathering, our community-focused, free day at the Zoo with any donation amount, your philanthropy will help the Zoo achieve its mission to connect people, animals, and the natural world to save wildlife. Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular

In fall 2024, thousands of carved pumpkins will light up the night at the 6th annual Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular. This one-of-a-kind, family-friendly experience is only at the Minnesota Zoo! On an outdoor trail, you’ll see 5,000 hand-carved pumpkins with not-so-spooky smiles, whimsical grins, and realistic scenes of the wild world. Tickets on sale in September.
