Apple Valley, MINN – August 30, 2019 –
Here’s an opportunity to get outdoors, help save wildlife, and explore the Minnesota Zoo in a unique way. This year’s Tiger Tracks 5K and Family Run/Walk/Roll is coming up on Saturday, September 14, and there is still time to sign up!
Since 2008, the Tiger Tracks 5K has been a fun way to support the Zoo’s conservation efforts here in Minnesota and around the world. With hundreds of participants each year, Tiger Tracks 5K has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help save wildlife and wild places.
Here’s what you can expect on Saturday, September 14:
- The 5K starts at 8 am at the Shady Oaks Picnic area
- The course goes through the Zoo along the outdoor trails
- Registered participants will receive free admission to the Zoo on race day
- We welcome walkers, casual joggers, advanced runners, as well as strollers and wheelchairs
“Tiger Tracks is a family-friendly event that promotes the Minnesota Zoo’s mission of connecting people, animals and the natural world to save wildlife,” said John Frawley, Minnesota Zoo Director.
All participants are invited to stay at the Zoo after the run and enjoy the animals, programs, and atmosphere that make this a truly special place. Tiger Tracks 5K and Family Run/Walk/Roll is sponsored by Raising Canes. Registration is still open at mnzoo.org/events/tiger-tracks-5k.
