Farm Babies is open daily during Zoo hours and is included with your Zoo admission.

What to Expect at Farm Babies

Every day, you can meet babies and their hardworking moms. Saturdays and Sundays, you can also kick up your heels with live music, activities and learning from the Farmkeepers about the agriculture and animals. The Wells Fargo Family Farm is a small demonstration farm featuring heritage and rare breeds – come meet them and learn what makes them so special:

Goat and Sheep Barn
- Pygmy Nigerian Dwarf, Toggenburg and Alpine goats
- Shetland, Icelandic mix, and Dorset mix sheep
Horse Barn and pasture
- Clydesdale horses Frank and Ritchie
- Asian wild horse Marat
Pig Barn
- Kunekune pigs, a heritage breed from New Zealand

Get a Backstage Pass to Farm Babies! Take a private tour with a Farm Keeper before the Zoo opens for the day. Available on select Sunday mornings this spring. Learn more and book your Backstage Pass.

Farm Babies FAQs

Do I have to purchase a ticket?

Farm Babies is included with Zoo admission. Tickets to the Zoo must be purchased online and in advance.

What is the distance out to the Wells Fargo Family Farm? Is there transportation provided?

The Wells Fargo Family Farm is approximately .73 miles from the main entrance building. There is no transportation from the main building to the Farm entrance. A limited number of electric convenience vehicles (ECVs) are available for rent.

What are the hours that we can access the Wells Fargo Family Farm?

The Farm is open this spring 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily.  Starting May 23, the Zoo and Farm are open 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Zoo Members enjoy early access, 9 – 10 a.m. daily -- become a Member and you can, too!

What baby animals will be at the Farm?

This year, moms are expecting goat kids, piglets, lambs, llama crias, and chicks. Some baby animals are kept indoors for warmth and protection; they can be viewed through open barn doors when the weather permits. During busy days at the Farm, please share the viewing areas so everyone can enjoy seeing the babies!

Is there food for purchase at the Farm?

Is Farm Babies weather dependent?

Rain, shine, or snow the farm will be open.

Is Farm Babies and the Wells Fargo Family Farm ADA accessible?

Yes, both are accessible.

Is there an ATM?

No, there are ATMs inside the main building at the Zoo.

Are there restrooms at the Farm?

Restrooms are available at the Farm House and behind the Granary Classroom.
