There have been documented cases of humans transmitting COVID-19 to animals. Various measures have been taken based on the latest scientific research to protect those animals most at risk for contracting the disease. In many cases, the best practices are still being developed, and the Zoo is erring on the side of caution to protect the animals in our care.
