Your northern adventure will take you places far and near to get a better look and appreciation of the natural marvels all around us. From moose, birds, and bears, to forests, bogs and bluffs, join us as we explore our way across Minnesota’s north country to learn, see, and experience Minnesota in a whole new way.

You’ll start your journey at the Minnesota Zoo with a behind-the-scenes visit of the Zoo’s moose habitat. We’ll then make our way north for a four-day, three-night adventure heading to Ely with some amazing stops along that way. You will gain a new appreciation and love for numerous iconic Minnesota species, including the black bear. Ely was cited by National Geographic as one of “America’s Best Adventure Towns.” Come find out for yourself! The EdVenture will then head south to Duluth for more iconic dining and wildlife stops that focus on Minnesota birds and aquatic learning opportunities.

• Hiking the Kawishiwi Falls trail.
• Exploring moose (and bear) habitat by foot and by car.
• Going on a guided tour of the Bois Forte Heritage Center.
