Join us for an array of special Zoo events that are sure to make any season a wild one.
Breakfast at the Zoo - Saturday, January 18 - SOLD OUT!
Warm up a winter morning with PJs and pancakes at the Minnesota Zoo. At your Breakfast at the Zoo from, 8:30 – 10 a.m., enjoy a build-your-own pancake bar. You can top your stack of flapjacks with butter, maple syrup, fresh berries, fruit preserves, candied pecans – and whipped cream, of course. Plus: pork and turkey sausage links, orange juice, and steaming hot coffee. *Dairy free pancakes are available. Eat up, then enjoy family-friendly activity stations, story time, and games.
After breakfast, get tickets to stay and play at the Zoo! It’s perfect timing to see a 10 a.m. penguin feeding and the 10:30 a.m. Wings & Things! show. Breakfast at the Zoo tickets are $19 for adults, $13 for kids 3-12, and free for 0-2 years old. General admission tickets are added in the ticket price for non-members to explore the trails after your meal. Parking is including in the event ticket price. Capacity limited and tickets are going like hotcakes—get yours soon! (Tickets go off sale January 14, 2025.)
Cool Drinks at the Ice Bar: Sip on a drink served with frosty flair at our one-of-a-kind, sculpted Ice Bar located on Celebration Plaza.
S'mores Outdoors! Get toasty by the fire as you roast marshmallows and create a sweet s’more. Kits available for purchase.
Warm Up With Hot Dish: Stop by Call of the Wild Café for Minnesota classic comfort food. Hot dish special available all weekend.
See Animals Who Go With the Snow: Travel the Northern Trail to meet our cold-loving animals. Bison, caribou, camels, adorable Amur tiger cubs… they’re all their wearing winter coats. Bundle up and join them!
Cozy Up for Storytime: Meet children’s author Heather Boschke as she reads from her picture book “Little Birdie Buddies.”
Thaw and Find Awe Inside: Ready to defrost? Step into the warmth of Tropics Trail and explore the underwater beauty of Discovery Bay.
Encounter a Rare Sort of Bear: Paddington in Peru! In partnership with Sony Pictures, Winterfest welcomes you to learn about “Paddington in Peru,” the third installment in the beloved Paddington film series. From 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. pick up a Paddington poster, yo-yos, and free passes for an advance screening of the new movie. Be sure to pop by for a photo op!
