We began our journey at Land of the Leopard Park headquarters. Victor Storozhuk (Field Research Officer, Land of the Leopard) and Elena Salmanova (Assistant Director of Science, Land of the Leopard) escorted me (Tara Harris, Minnesota Zoo) and Jon Slaght (Wildlife Conservation Society) on a forest walk on our first day in the park.
