New look to an old favorite
Apple Valley, MN  July 27, 2018 One of the Minnesota Zoo’s most popular attractions, the Wells Fargo Family Farm – home to the wildly popular Farm Babies – has a new, unique feature that will welcome thousands of guests each year.

The first phase of a revitalization project, thanks to lead gifts totaling $1,000,000 to the Minnesota Zoo Foundation from corporate partner Wells Fargo and donors, Carmen and Jim Campbell, is a gateway entrance which provides a defined structure at the nearly 20-year old farm. It also depicts an historic timeline of farming in Minnesota, which is important in connecting guests with the state’s farming heritage while maintaining the up-close and personal feel guest receive at the exhibit.

“Wells Fargo is proud to support such a great organization like the Minnesota Zoo who helps shape our state’s cultural fabric and serves as a point of pride for all Minnesotans,” said Joe Ravens, Wells Fargo region bank president. “The Zoo’s cutting-edge exhibits provides exciting experiences with animals and their habitats, introducing Minnesotans and Zoo visitors to animal species from around the globe.”

We invite you to get a closer look at the gateway entrance at a grand opening:

Monday, August 6, from 5 – 7 p.m.

It will focus on the significance of the revitalization project to the Wells Fargo Family Farm and the Zoo, with honored guests from Wells Fargo, the Minnesota Zoo Foundation and others providing brief remarks beginning at 5:30.  A photo op is available shortly after, as are media availabilities.
