Apple Valley, MINN – April 11, 2018 – Join Minnesota Zoo Director/President, John Frawley, staff, volunteers, and many unique animals as they thank legislators for their support during “Zoo Day at the Capitol” on Tuesday, April 18 at 1:30 pm. The newly renovated rotunda will host chinchillas, bearded dragons, tarantulas and other animals. A few surprise animals are likely to make an appearance, as well.
“We are so thankful for all the support from our legislators,” said Minnesota Zoo Director/President, John Frawley. “The support we get from the Minnesota Legislature as a state agency is key to the sustainability of our public-private partnership and helps to ensure the Minnesota Zoo is for all Minnesotans.”
The Minnesota Zoo visits the Minnesota State Capitol annually to thank legislators for their support, introduce them to animals that educate guests about the environment, and highlight the Zoo’s positive impact on all Minnesotans. Award winning conservation, education, and recreation activities have earned local, national, and international recognition for the Minnesota Zoo.
