Say “aloha” to the newest additions – critically endangered Hawaiian monk seals – soon making a splash at the Minnesota Zoo! Join us in welcoming these amazing animals into our newly renovated Discovery Bay, the only place outside Hawaii where the public can see them in human care. Come and learn all about Hawaiian monk seals and how you can help protect them in the wild through daily demonstrations with our marine mammal trainers in their new home.

Moon jellyfish are also making their debut in Discovery Bay, along with the return of sea dragons, live coral, sea horses, shrimp and other marine life in a variety of awe-inspiring habitats. The Minnesota Zoo is committed to “connecting people, animals and the natural world to save wildlife,” and we invite you to discover your own inspiration to help save our oceans and those that call it home through an array of exciting and interactive daily experiences.
