You will be notified of your membership expiration by both mail and email. We encourage you to renew your membership by responding to the renewal offers sent to you prior to your expiration date. Memberships are still valid for one full year from the time of purchase if you are reinstating or purchasing a new membership.

We encourage you to renew your membership, so you can experience all the Zoo has to offer year-round. Watch for special renewal offers in the mail or email beginning two months prior to your expiration date.
Your gift as a Friend of the Minnesota Zoo Foundation will support the core operations of the Zoo, including animal care, conservation initiatives, and education programs. If your recipients are current members during the time of the Zoo’s closure, they will receive a special offer of free tickets. They will be periodically contacted and reminded of the offer leading up to the Zoo’s reopening.

Due to the numerous unknowns with COVID-19, we do not have a definitive opening date and therefore have offered current members tickets to visit once we reopen. Yes. Your payment, less the fair market value of the benefits you receive, is deductible for income tax purposes. Under Internal Revenue Service guidelines, the estimated value of standard-level membership benefits is not substantial; therefore the full amount of your payment is a deductible contribution. The Minnesota Zoo’s Federal Tax ID # is 41-600-7162. Please contact the Zoo’s Membership Office at 952-431-9478 for additional information. We are maintaining flexibility to reopen the Zoo once it is determined it is safe to do so and that it is in the best interest of the animals, staff, and our members and guests. We will continue to follow the guidelines set by leading public health agencies including the Minnesota Department of Health and the CDC. We, too, can’t wait to see you here at the Zoo again soon!
In order to protect the safety of our staff caring for our animals, we have limited access to critical staff onsite only. This is in an effort to protect staff and minimize contact as much as possible. In the meantime, please visit our homepage at mnzoo.org and social media pages as we work to virtually “bring the Zoo to you!”
In the current environment, the concert series is being discussed weekly. At this time, working with our concert production partner, we do not have specific dates for lineups or ticket sales. Please look for more details in late May.

You are welcome to use the tickets for you and your family-even if your membership has expired. We hope we can count on your support and encourage you to renew and continue supporting the Zoo’s commitment to animals, education and nature.
The offer is valid for households that were current as of March 14, one offer per household. If you were expired before March 14, and renew or purchase a new membership during the Zoo’s closure, the offer of free tickets will apply to your membership account.

Your membership is considered a tax deductible donation to the Minnesota Zoo.
Cancellation emails were sent to all registered camp families on Friday, May 15th. Registrants may choose to donate their camp fees in full or part, or receive a full refund. All cancellations will be processed according to each registrant’s choice within approximately one week of receipt. All donations are tax deductible and will support critical animal care and facility management of the Minnesota Zoo.
