The Minnesota Zoo is excited to partner with the Autism Society of Minnesota (AuSM) to offer summer camp opportunities for youth with autism.

All camp sessions will be co-taught by a Minnesota Zoo Naturalist and AuSM Educators. Participants must be group-ready; demonstrate self-care skills without assistance; follow adult direction; show readiness for large group participation, including the ability to remain with the group at all times; and follow safety rules independently.

Camp Schedule

Ocean Odyssey (ages 8-11)
June 15–19
8:30-11:30 a.m. 
Dive into an underwater world teeming with sea turtles, sharks, sea dragons, and monk seals! Each day, explore a different ocean habitat including coral reefs, tide pools, and estuaries.

Wildlife Agents (ages 12 to 15)
July 13–17
1:30-4:30 p.m.

A crime has been committed! The victim… wildlife! Can you identify the perpetrator? Learn about the problems facing wildlife while learning the skills and tools scientists use to track down suspects. Put on your detective hat and join us.

Wildlife Heroes (ages 16 to 19)
Aug 3–7
8:30-11:30 a.m.
Are you a wildlife hero? Heroes like engineers, scientists, and even students work to create solutions to everyday problems that help save wildlife. Test your skills with design challenges while learning about real-world conservation issues—around the world and right in your own backyard.
