Wild Days of Play
Bring your family to join the fun of playing outdoors! These free days of play are for all to enjoy while visiting the Zoo. Don’t miss out on your chance to get a little messy, make a work of art, or discover something new!
Dates: Fourth Sunday of June, July, and August
Time: 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Ages: All ages are welcome
Location: Minnesota Zoo at the Hanifl Family Wild Woods Nature Play Area
Cost: Free with Zoo admission (members are completely free)
RSVP: None needed – just show up at the Hanifl Family Wild Woods area for any of these programs!

June 24 – Dirt + Water = MUD!
What kid can resist jumping in mud puddles or making a mud-wich? International Mud Day is here again and we’re here to help you celebrate the marvel of mud. You will get dirty, so you may want to bring a change of clothes.
July 22 – Water, Water Everywhere!
What better way to spend a summer afternoon than playing with water. Have fun with your family while making bubbles, painting with water and chalk, jumping in puddles, pond dipping, and so much more.
August 26 – Color Explosion!
Have you ever played camouflage hide and seek with natural items or created designs and patterns from colorful rocks? Have you ever gone on a color hunt to find 6 different shades of green? Come discover and play with the amazingly awesome colors that mother nature provides in new and fun ways!
