Minnesota Zoo’s Retail Partner to “Adopt” Apple Valley Street
Service Systems Associates (SSA) to embark upon local clean up effort November 1 & 2, 2009

Apple Valley, MINN – October 30, 2009: – The Minnesota Zoo’s retail partner, Service Systems Associates (SSA), has contracted with the City of Apple Valley to "Adopt-A-Street" as part of a green initiative allowing them to partner with its host organization. SSA will cleanup two local streets on November 1 and 2 (schedule below).

As part of its ongoing commitment for a clean and safe community, SSA plans on participating in an annual fall, spring, and summer cleanup of the streets that border the Minnesota Zoo. The City of Apple Valley will provide vests and bags, pick up collected trash, and take care of disposal.

Clean-Up Locations and Schedule:
Sunday, November 1: Litter will be picked up along Johnny Cake Ridge Road between McAndrews Road and the Apple Valley border from 11 a.m.–2 p.m.

Monday, November 2: Litter will be picked up along Galaxie Avenue between McAndrews Road and the Apple Valley border from 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
