Apple Valley, MINN – January 19, 2017 – The Minnesota Zoo’s young advocates organization, AZUL, is hosting its sixth annual “Warm up in the Wild” tropical beach party. Join this after-hours cocktail party at the Zoo for an adults-only (ages 21+) night of food and drinks, colorful animals, beach games, and a giant sandbox along the Minnesota Zoo’s hot and humid Tropics Trail. This event will take place on Saturday, February 18, from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

This tropical event is not for those easily shocked by risqué talk, as zookeepers share with attendees the exotic, intimate and romantic rituals of the furry, feathered and scaly residents of the Zoo. It’s a fun Valentine’s date night for those who don’t mind a little blushing over the titillating details. “Warm up in the Wild is a unique experience for adults to connect with animals and each other, as well as support the Zoo’s efforts to save wildlife,” says Grace Chou, AZUL board chair.

The cost to attend is free for AZUL members, $20 for early registration, and $25 at the door. To register for the event and learn more about AZUL or become a member, visit mnzoo.org/AZUL or email AZULinfo@mnzoo.org. Friends of the Minnesota Zoo who annually donate $250 or more are also welcome to attend for free. Proceeds support animal care, education programs, and wildlife conservation
