Warm Up in the Wild – February 20
Wild Night – May 21
What is AZUL?
We are a group of young professionals who are committed to making a difference. We support the mission of the Minnesota Zoo: to connect people, animals, and the natural world to save wildlife. Our community helps with wildlife conservation efforts and has raised over $26,000 for the Tiger Conservation Campaign since 2012.
Together, we’re saving wildlife.
When did AZUL start?
In 2010, the Minnesota Zoo created the AZUL Board of Directors to serve as the advisory council the Minnesota Zoo Foundation Board and to support the growing number of young professionals interested in the mission of the Zoo by establishing a community of young advocates.
How can I say in touch with AZUL?
It’s simple – sign up for emails and we will send you information and updates on how you can participate in our programs and attend our events. Not ready for a commitment yet? That’s okay. We don’t force anyone to become a member until they’re good and ready. Join us at any of our events and find out what we are all about. Then you can choose whether to join this exciting community of young professionals.
How can I become a member?
Visit our membership page for information on joining AZUL.
What does AZUL stand for?
When we started, it was an acronym: Advancing Zoo Understanding and Leadership. Today, we continue that idea but feel our mission has expanded beyond the acronym.
What is the AZUL Board of Directors?
The AZUL board is the organizing body of this community. AZUL board members help plan events, share our message, grow the community, support membership, expand our conservation and educational commitment and more. The board meets every other month, with committees meeting monthly. We are always looking for committed individuals to join our efforts either as members or as volunteers. Contact AZULinfo@mnzoo.org to share your interest or to request more information.
