Swoop on in and get up close and personal with the stunning variety of birds along the Minnesota Zoo’s Tropics Trail!

During this experience, you’ll get the unique opportunity to be surrounded on all sides by birds during their morning feed—the  perfect time to capture a beautiful photo or simply sit quietly and observe. You’ll learn about the behaviors and care of our diversity of tropical birds, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions of the bird keepers and learn to identify several species. This interactive educational program is ideal for photographers, families, and birders of all kinds.

The birds can be “flighty” in a crowd, so to maximize their comfort level this program has a maximum of three participants. We remind every guest that quiet, respectful behavior will help you get closer to the birds and have more time with them. This program is open to ages four through adult, but we ask that you bring children who are capable of sitting very quietly for a period of time, to ensure the best possible experience for every guest.

Time: 8:00-9:00 a.m.
Age: minimum 4 years old, participants younger than 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult
Fee: $75 per person
Group Size: Maximum of four participants, smaller groups may be combined.
