Experience the wonders of the cloud forests in the Monteverde region of Costa Rica. Guided by Melanie Sorensen a Minnesota Zoo Naturalist with extensive experience in Costa Rica and a local guide, this exciting adventure will broaden your students world-view and inspire a greater understanding of the importance of biodiversity. Our tour group will stay at the University of Georgia’s San Luis Eco-lodge and Research Station (www.uga.edu/costarica) discovering the flora and fauna of this region. Activities planned include a hiking trip to the second largest waterfall in Costa Rica, horseback riding and a zipline journey through the rainforest canopy to make the experience even more memorable. We will also work with a local school kids on a service project during the trip.
