Wildlife Champion!

Wildlife Champions are high school students who, with help from the Minnesota Zoo, learn to identify conservation issues in their local communities and work together to make a difference for wildlife.  In addition to teacher training, the Minnesota Zoo provides outreach programs, video conferencing, and a field trip to the Zoo for participating students.  Interested? Tallgrass prairie once dominated the landscape in southwestern Minnesota and now exists in less than one percent of its original range.  The Minnesota Zoo is actively engaged in prairie species conservation projects and with our new Wildlife Champions program, we are engaging high school students in projects in their own communities.
