Group Overnight Programs

When the sun goes down, some animals go to sleep…but for others, life is just starting to get interesting. After everyone else has gone home, you and your group will get a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the Minnesota Zoo, as you find out just what happens deep in the ocean, far into the northern forests, or on the family farm after dark. In our group overnights, kids ages 8-18 and their chaperones get a nose-to-nose encounter with our animals and learn exciting things about nature and wildlife. An evening snack and breakfast will be provided.

Group overnights are for youth ages 8-18 plus chaperones. We recommend a ratio of one chaperone per six youth with a minimum of 2 adults per group. All group overnights are $47/person ($49/person staring January 1, 2018) and include:

  • an evening snack (pizza)
  • breakfast
  • an Animals After Dark t-shirt
  • a Minnesota Zoo patch (for scout groups only)

Please click on the specific overnights below for more details about each one.

Scout Troops: We may be able to work with you to create an overnight program that meets some of your badge requirements. If you are interested in an overnight but don’t see a date that will work for your group, we may be able to work with you to find another date, if you have a large enough group (minimum of 25 people). For more information, please contact educate@mnzoo.org.

For Adults: Check our our new Adult Only Overnight! Do you have a group of 20 or more adults interested in their very own Zoo overnight program? Contact educate@mnzoo.org to book a private overnight program.
