Biodiversity is the term given to the variety of life on Earth and the natural patterns in forms.  Biodiversity includes genetic variation within species, the variety of species in an area, and the variety of habitat types within a landscape.  It forms the web of life of which we are an integral part and upon which we depend.

The World Association of Zoos and Aquariums is leading efforts to get people to act to save biodiversity.  Learn more about this program at http://www.waza.org/en/site/conservation/biodiversity-is-us, including a free app to learn about 400 animal species, take part in games and quizzes, and see what actions you can take each day to support biodiversity!
