1. Take your very own “Aussie” walkabout:Come visit Kangaroo Crossing and experience the outback. Roam the land with kangaroos, wallabies and emus. You’ll feel as if you were hiking through the Australian wilderness as you literally walk through the habitat with these outback ambassadors. Get up close with outback ambassadors at our daily kangaroo feedings 9:30 am and 3:30 pm. It’s going to be wild, mate! Kangaroo Crossing is included in your admission to the Zoo.
  2. Have some barbie and a beer: Walking through the outback can work up an appetite. The Minnesota Zoo has got you covered. When fueling up for Music in the Zoo, or taking a rest at Adult Night Out, make sure to stop by the Walkabout Grill. There you’ll find delicious shrimp on the barbie, bangers and mash, and of course cold cans of Foster’s beer.
  3. Backstage with Kangaroos:
Hop on over for an exclusive, small-group experience with our Australia zookeepers, a Zoo naturalist, and the real stars of the show – the marsupials themselves. Experience Kangaroo Crossing in the morning light, before the Zoo opens to the public, and get hands-on as you head behind-the-scenes and feed the kangaroos their breakfast. You’ll leave with new knowledge and new stories to tell.
  4. Australia Birthday Party:
Throw a party you’ll never forget with the Zoo’s Australian themed birthday parties. Complete with a Kangaroo experience (bring your camera!), a camel ride, meet a Kangaroo Crossing Zoo Keeper and much more. Space is limited for this outback adventure so make sure you sign up today!
