Come and learn about the animals and all the care that goes into keeping them happy and healthy during this popular class designed especially for 4th-7th grades. Each month we cover a different area at the Zoo with hands-on activities, a behind the scene tour and close up encounter of an animal.

Our fall session will cover northern trail, farm and aquariums. Our spring session will cover tropics, marine mammals and Minnesota animals.

Experience the sights and sounds of the Hawaiian islands during our Hawaiian Monk Seal Demonstrations – daily at 12:00 and 2:00. Come and connect with these critically endangered marine mammals and their trainers in their new habitat in Discovery Bay, the only place to see these amazing animals outside of Hawaii. Learn more about Hawaiian monk seals, the challenges they face in the wild, and what the Minnesota Zoo and others are doing to help save them.
