Wild Wonders Preschool is a unique program that brings the natural world alive!  Offered for ten consecutive Mondays each fall and spring, we will connect children with nature by encouraging their innate affinity for the outdoors.  By developing their sense of place in the world over the ten weeks, this will allow us to provide a continuous theme, deeper learning, and foster relationships between teacher, students, and the animals.

Throughout this exciting program, children will explore nature’s many wonders first-hand through dramatic play, art, stories, songs and animal encounters! The fall session will focus on the many ways animals get ready for winter and the spring session will focus on our domestic animal friends at the Wells Fargo Family Farm.

Get face to face with a kangaroo while you feed them their breakfast! For a limited time, you can do just that at the Minnesota Zoo. Hop on over for an exclusive, small-group experience with our Australia zookeepers, a Zoo naturalist, and the real stars of the show – the marsupials themselves.

In this hour-long program, you’ll experience Kangaroo Crossing before the Zoo opens to the public, with the exhibit all to yourselves. You’ll travel off the path and get to see the wallabies and kangaroos close-up and from new angles. If they have joeys, you’ll get the best view, whether they’re starting to hop around on their own or still tucked into their pouches. You’ll get to know the zoo keepers as you help them feed the whole group, then hand-feed a few individual ‘roos. The program is full of one-of-a-kind photo ops, and you’ll leave with new knowledge and new stories to tell.

Time: 8:00-9:00 a.m.
Date: offered on select Saturdays and Sundays, June-October
Age: minimum 4 years old, participants younger than 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult
Fee: $100 per person
Group Size: Maximum of six participants, smaller groups may be combined.
