Wild Wonders Preschool is a unique program that brings the natural world alive!  Offered for ten consecutive Mondays each fall and spring, we will connect children with nature by encouraging their innate affinity for the outdoors.  By developing their sense of place in the world over the ten weeks, this will allow us to provide a continuous theme, deeper learning, and foster relationships between teacher, students, and the animals.

Throughout this exciting program, children will explore nature’s many wonders first-hand through dramatic play, art, stories, songs and animal encounters! The fall session will focus on the many ways animals get ready for winter and the spring session will focus on our domestic animal friends at the Wells Fargo Family Farm.

Ages: 4-6 years of age AND children must be group ready to participate: this includes the ability to listen and follow directions, remain with the group at all times, follow safety rules independently, and communicate with the instructor.  All children must also be toilet trained.
Fees: Members: $220, Non-members: $260

Class sessions Each session consists of ten classes.
2020 Spring Session – Due to renovations in the classroom space, we will not be having the 2020 spring session.

 Times: 9:30 a.m.-noon or
1:00-3:30 p.m.

Family Overnight

As the Zoo closes for the day, Discovery Bay is still alive with activity! This popular overnight program at the Minnesota Zoo will take you and your family “below the surface,” to explore the mysteries of ocean life, from monk seals to sharks to sea turtles. During our packed program, you and your family will get to visit cool places behind-the-scenes, meet a zookeeper or aquarist, and touch sharks and sea stars. Through exciting games and hands-on activities, you’ll learn all about these marine animals and their watery world. Experience the Zoo as you never have before, and fall asleep as sharks go swimming by!

Overnights start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 9 a.m. the following morning. After the conclusion of the program all participants are invited to enjoy the rest of the day at the Minnesota Zoo. We need a minimum number of people for the overnight to take place.

Ages: This event is open to people ages five and older. A minimum of one adult and one child is required.

Fees:
