Light & Shadows on the Northern Trail

Bundle up and head out on the Northern Trail! This may be a stark time of year, but it makes for some beautiful photography opportunities. This long trail is home to several large, cold-hardy animals, like our moose, bison, and wild horses. We’ll explore techniques for photographing animals at a distance and using shifting light and shadows – and if there’s snow, we can explore ways to deal with that challenge too! Bring any lenses you have for your camera, and a tripod if you have one – the photography instructor will also have some materials for people to try. This class will combine classroom time with time on the fully outdoor trail.  With plenty of opportunities to ask questions and practice your new ideas, you’ll head home with skills for getting that perfect shot – and new fun facts about how these animals deal with cold temps!
