This program has it all: close-up encounters with animals, behind-the-scenes tours, and delicious appetizers. Join us at the Minnesota Zoo for a unique adults-only opportunity to head backstage and see some animals while you learn all about what our animals eat, how they’re fed, and where their food comes from. On this tour, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look of our Zoo kitchens, meet zookeepers and naturalists, and enjoy gourmet appetizers and drinks in the Zoo after hours.
How much does a grizzly bear eat in a day? What’s the most expensive animal at the Minnesota Zoo to feed? Learn the answers as you get up-close and personal with our brown bears and sea otters in behind-the-scenes areas of the Zoo. You’ll also tour the kitchens where their food is prepared daily. Discover how you can choose sustainable seafood to help our animals’ wild relatives. Of course you’ll also get to enjoy a variety of top-shelf, sustainably sourced seafood items right alongside the sea otters and brown bears, and maybe have a little taste of what they like to eat in the wild!
